Number one rule: always remember to charge your device before you leave to ensure a full charge for your trip.
In case of unexpected malfunctions or damage, you can get support by accessing the Support section and depending on your travel destination, you will also be able to visit an IQOS store if you experience any problems with your device.
Also, before you leave, check whether the tobacco sticks you usually use are available in the country you have chosen to visit. However, it is always good to consider the limitations on the amount of tobacco sticks you can take with you abroad.

Traveling with IQOS on planes
Here are some tips and information if you travel by plane with your IQOS. Remember that using all tobacco products on any flight, including IQOS devices and e-cigarettes, is strictly prohibited in any plane area, including in-flight restrooms. Check with your airline and local authorities for more specific and up-to-date information before you travel.
Can I use e-cigarettes or any tobacco heating device on a plane?
Using electronic cigarettes or tobacco heating devices is strictly prohibited in any area of the airplane, including in-flight toilets. When traveling, it would be best if you stowed your tobacco heater in your carry-on luggage. Still, we always advise you to you to check the regulations on transportation and use in your destination country if different rules apply.
Can I use e-cigarettes or any tobacco heating device in airports?
At airports, e-cigarettes, tobacco heating devices, and all tobacco products are only allowed in designated smoking areas. Please consult your airline and destination country's government authority before traveling for more specific and up-to-date information.

Traveling by car with IQOS
Even if you are traveling by car, a few small precautions are advisable before you leave:
Always charge your device or use a vehicle charging cable that is compatible with your IQOS - approved by the manufacturer, to avoid running out of battery power while traveling.
Also, avoid exposing your device and tobacco sticks to direct sunlight, heat, or moisture, and store them in a cool, dry place.
Traveling with IQOS by cruise
If you want to know more about bringing and using IQOS on a ship, check with your cruise line and local authorities in your destination country.
When traveling, store your device and tobacco sticks in your carry-on luggage, and be sure to check in advance with your ferry or cruise line how many devices and tobacco sticks you can take on board.
During security checks, you should always check to see if you must declare that you carry your IQOS and tobacco sticks. You may be required to stow your device and tobacco sticks in a separate tray for screening or turn the device on to prove to the authority that it is working.

How to protect IQOS from the cold
For correct operation of the device, IQOS must always be kept in a temperature range between 0° and 40°. If the outside temperature is very cold, we suggest keeping the device and the sticks in an internal pocket, in contact with the body as much as possible, so as not to let them cool down excessively.
How to protect IQOS from extreme heat
IQOS devices are designed to operate within standard temperatures. If it is very hot, for example on the beach, it is better to keep IQOS and tobacco sticks away from direct sunlight and heat sources, for example avoiding leaving the device or sticks in the car or in other closed spaces that could overheat. What to do if IQOS comes into contact with water
If your IQOS device accidentally gets wet or falls into water, you should let it dry by keeping it away from heat sources or direct sunlight. Do not try to turn it on until it is dry and do not insert foreign objects such as cloths or handkerchiefs inside the device, to avoid damaging it.
