The IQOS ILUMA i experience is completely different from cigarettes.
Cigarettes burn tobacco at very high temperatures. IQOS ILUMA i heats tobacco sticks from the inside instead of burning them, at a much lower temperature, without combustion but with a consistent taste experience.
IQOS ILUMA i can also heat aroma sticks without tobacco and with nicotine. In both cases it produces less odor than cigarettes.
E-cigarettes
Although both involve no combustion, IQOS ILUMA i is very different from an electronic cigarette.
Electronic cigarettes heat liquids that may contain nicotine, an addictive substance extracted from the tobacco plant and mixed with glycerin, propylene glycol, and food flavorings, creating flavored vapor.
IQOS ILUMA i, on the other hand, is a device that heats tobacco sticks to deliver their true taste, without smoke and ash. The stick consists of a blend containing water and glycerin, producing a tobacco vapor. Nicotine is therefore derived directly from the tobacco plant and is not added.
IQOS ILUMA i also heats aroma sticks without tobacco and with nicotine.
Unlike the electronic cigarette, it therefore never uses inhalation liquids.

You have 2 modes to choose from.
Performance Mode (default).
Allows 2 consecutive uses with a break for one of them or up to 3 consecutive uses without a break*.
Eco Mode** (to activate by IQOS App).
Allows 1 use without a break.
With this mode you could optimize the life of the holder.**

Soft Reset
If your device happens to freeze, start with a soft reset.
- Simply press the button for 10 seconds; release the button, and all the lights will turn off and then blink twice. The lights will then come back on to confirm the reset.
Device Reset
If yours isn't working even though it's charged, you'll need to reset it. Here's how:
- Press the button until the lights will be off
- Release the button; the battery lights will turn off, blink twice, and then come back on, indicating that the initialization has been successful.
Automatic start
