Troubleshoot your BONDS by IQOS
No lights on your BONDS by IQOS device?
1. Your device might be turned off: to turn it on, press and hold the button for 4 seconds until the device vibrates, then release it; the lights will slowly turn on (or off).
2. The device battery might be empty: recharge the device using the supplied charging cable and a certified, compatible AC power adapter. When the battery is fully charged - 4 lights are on solid for 3 seconds, then slowly dim.
3. The device might need a reset: press and hold the button for 10 seconds until the device vibrates 3 times, then release. All lights will turn off and on again to confirm the reset.
Are the lights flashing?
1. Lights flash white: if the lights flash white, the device is outside its operating temperature range (between 0° and 40° C); allow the device to return to this range.
2. Bottom yellow light flashes: if the device light flashes yellow 3 times, the battery is low and the device needs to be recharged. Make sure you are using the included charging cable and a certified and compatible AC power adapter.
3. Lights flash up and down twice: this condition occurs after 3 consecutive uses. After 3 consecutive uses, the device automatically begins cooling and will not allow a 4th use. It will take 4 minutes before the device can be used again.
4. Light flashes red: the device may need to be reset. To reset the device, press the button continuously for 10 seconds. The reset is confirmed when all the lights turn on, flash twice, and the device powers on. The lights will turn on and display the battery status.
Is the vapor weak or absent in your BONDS by IQOS?
If the issue only affects the first puff, please note that the first puff always has poor vapor and no flavor. This is normal and does not indicate a problem with the device or the tobacco stick.
If the problem persists:
- Make sure you are using tobacco sticks specifically designed for the BONDS by IQOS device and not other brands or products.
- Check for debris inside the heating chamber of the BONDS by IQOS device. If necessary, remove any debris and try inserting the stick again.
- Make sure the specially designed tobacco stick is inserted correctly into the device—up to the printed line on the filter.
- Make sure the stick is not broken when inserting it.
- Allow the device to preheat according to the instructions in the User Guide.
